Here he comes!

I haven’t had a chance to post that Ji started crawling a couple days ago! Just a little bit though. I think he doesn’t realize he’s doing it. He still gets so upset and does “the swim” wiggling his arms and legs frantically when he could just pull his knees up get what he wants. Soon enough!

Math

My brain is completely overflowing from my new math class. My last teacher was pretty bad… the new teacher is excellent but I’m completely unprepared! The half of the last class that managed to get through last quarter with me feel pretty much the same way as well. I’m really going to have to work hard to get through the next 11 weeks.

Believe it or not… this was one of the easier problems:
a4x4 + a4x2 + 5a4 + a2x4 + a2x2 + 5a2 + 5x4 + 5x2 + 25

Time management

A little time management goes a long way. I was taking a chance that my new school schedule would be able to break me of my morning laziness. So far so good. Up and rearing to go at 5:20am. Of course we’ll see how excited I am when I have a speech to give next week!

Sample Video

Heres a sample video of what we’ve been working on. We have pretty much a 10-30 second clip everyday since Ji was born. We will string them all together eventually but here are 8 clips in a test-run.

Blessed sleep!

It only took Ji one hour to go to sleep last night including feeding and rocking time, half hour of crying tops (we’ve heard as much as four hours of crying). Then he slept for FOUR HOURS by HIMSELF, woke only once for snack, was asleep an hour later and slept soundly for another four! This by far is the best night we’ve had since my second trimester. And he just woke from a nap of nearly an hour and a half smiling and talking. For those of you that do not know, two thirty-minute naps a day are his average. I cannot count how many times I told the boy how wonderful he is and how happy I am this morning.
Man, I woke up at 7am this morning feeling refreshed and revived and ready for the day. Hallelujah!

In other news- I picked up a part time babysitting job for a friend. I start today! I watched Hali Kate who is almost three months old a few weeks ago and it was quite trying to care for two crying babies but they are both a bit older now and I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it. Some women have twins, after all!
Wish me luck.

You can see pictures of Hali here and here and here with mom Tricia.
