Winter Barbecue

Not much for Winter up here anymore, but hopefully the wet season comes back in nicely. It’s been nice and warm for the most part. It’s been nice having my dad here, and Erinn too. He’ll be leaving tomorrow on a bus back to Lake Forest. Soon though, very soon, they will both be joining our table once again as they make a final journey into Washington.

Tonight we had a nice little neighborhood barbecue in celebration of the day. Shae and I will celebrate for anything… any old excuse will do. Life is just too short to take it all seriously all the time. How am I supposed to know what to take seriously anymore anyways?

A person who cannot laugh at life itself is a sad man indeed. The only choice we have, as far as I’m concerned, is that of laughter.

That was indeed a very nice celebration at Bert’s. He seems like a walking talking celebration, and always treasure that guy, for he’s truly an exceptional friend.
