Shae opened The Columbian today and lo-and-behold! There was an article that a campaign had been started to help save the funding for our withering public transit service in Clark County! I’ve thought to myself that I should start one up if one didn’t come along… so I’ve already contacted them and I hope that I can help! This will be my first foray into any type of active campaigning for a cause. Should be a great learning experience. More to come.
The past week was great with all the celebrating at all. Seeing Djai have his first birthday really blows me away though. I remember when we first took him home and I rocked him to sleep in the car seat with my pinky in his mouth as a pacifier. He could barely open his eyes, and likewise he could barely hold my finger in his tiny hand. It’s an incredible thing, being a father, and I’m honored to have him as my son.
The Prague trip with the debate team isn’t for a while but we’re going to try and save as much money as we can so that Shae can come with me. We’ve setup a little side PayPal account (it has our company linked to it but don’t be confused) for donations an such. We have until October before the non-refundable deposit is due. The link is on our About page and also in the list to the right.
They’ve got us up in the Hilton! I don’t know if I’ve ever even seen one… let alone stayed in one.
