Multi-tasking

And I’m not talking about that in computer lingo…

This is a fun story, really.

Yesterday, Shae left for a bit to take care of our neighbors dog for a while and to work on some art. While she was gone, I was left with a stack of dishes (to be fair, we both took equal part in making them) on the sink and a kitchen that needed a little TLC. Here’s my dilemma, I’m hooked on this online version of Texas Hold’em Poker and I really wanted to win some of my money back (shhh… it’s just play money).

So, I start with the dishes like a good husband… I finish a pot.

And slowly… I turn and head into the room so I can just throw a hand up and see how it looks. Y’know, the argument that if I get a bad hand then it’s just not meant to be my night — right? Wrong.

I say to myself, “Why can’t I just do both?”

Bingo!

So, to make a long story longer (thanks Eldon), when Shae come home several hours later there was a clean kitchen, a laptop placed on the counter (far enough from the sink), and some jazz tunes coming from the radio. I had perfected the art of washing dishes, shrewdly betting, and making up new dance moves to teach Djai all at the same time. Plus! I tripled my money… shh… it’s fake remember?

Great story Benj! We enjoyed it very much. I am learning the fine art of multi-tasking now too. Kyle is keeping me very busy. I don’t get anything done unless I multi-task! Love to you three from us three. XOXOXOX
