State of the Union

Not much to say on this except that I agree with GW that we’re an addicted nation. And I also agree that oil satisfies one of those addictions. Renewable energy… such a novel idea… anyway.

Johnathan got a real kick out of the speech as well. He proceeded to clap and listen intently to all the standing ovations, while doing something entirely uncoached during the actual speech.

We have the video in the archives for you’re viewing enjoyment.

Loving Boundaries

I love Johnathan more and more everyday. And when I think I can’t possibly love him more, I stand corrected. The first month of motherhood was really hard for me… and especially that first week… the first night home from the hospital SUCKED. But I’ve always loved Johnathan more than anything in the world. New Djai stuff

The kid amazes me. I am fully aware that they are supposed to grow and everything, but it still shocks me when he gets bigger. Today he was pretty sick and spent most of the day snuggling with me on the couch, all curled up by my neck. Tragedy Strikes

Shae will have to extrapolate on this, but yesterday was definitely a low-blow for us. Djai went in for a visit with an allergy specialist to see if we could continue to narrow down the cause for his rashes. They did a very small-scale scratch test to that compared with an adult, and they found many of the things that we already knew about. Plus… Djai happens to be highly allergic to cats. Truly a low-blow.

Zerbert

Djai can officially zerbert on his own now! He tried again on me yesterday and after a little more coaching from mom, he got it down very nicely! In fact, after he got me, he grabbed his Cabbage Patch kid and promptly pulled up his shirt so that he could zerbert him too!
