We’ve decided to move over to a more personal name rather than the ubiquitous “ceckas.org” name. For the time being both domains are pointing to the server and I probably won’t get around to changing that for some time. When I can start working on a family-tree then I will probably rebrand the old address. Still, for the future, you may want to delete the old bookmark and make a new one…
Man that took a long time to get up here. Now we only have a few days left of June and then we’ll have another batch with the birthday pics as well!
Well I’m definitely getting sick now. Finally after a week of Djai and Shae getting hit with it too. I feel like I’m going to lose my voice, which is great for my profession and even better for debating. Hopefully it passes before next weekend.
I have the next batch of pictures to put on the server but the camera messed up and started taking them at 1200×1600 instead of the normal 1024×768. Thus, I can’t get them to generate thumbnails in the normal fashion and again can’t get them into the gallery. I’ll work on this more tomorrow.
Well, since moving the server into the office I actually found out how to finally run the actual domain into it. So, once again, my plans have changed. Although I feel a little bad taking the “ceckas.org” name just for us… nobody has complained yet. Maybe I’ll get a different name to even it out. Any suggestions? Well, next week sometime when I’m in the office I’ll configure it and get it the way I need.
Finally! I got the last touches setup in my new office and the server is up and running. I’m hoping to attach another domain name to it soon but it will take a little playing around with. For now, the same ‘ol IP address thang will work just fine.
This weekend the server will come down until further notice. I’ll be moving into my office on Tuesday and installing it there, but until I get my static IP ordered I won’t be able to serve webpages off of it. I imagine by the end of the week (next week) I should have everything straightened out and back to normal.
