My last entry could be interpreted that I was relieved that a certain vehicle had made it through some nasty weather. I would just like to clarify that it was merely a joke and observation of what the driver, my dad, had to endure to get up to see us!
I think the theme for past year of my life has been “focus.” It’s easier said than done in a world full of nothing but distractions. If the media and corporations had it they way they wanted it, we would just simply follow on with their marketing whims and buy all the products that they swear we needed. It’s a lot to be up against and sometimes I think that the battle is all but lost.
Having family like we have reminds me that this battle is all but irrelevant. It just doesn’t matter. Surround yourself with people that you love and love you back… can’t go wrong with that.
The Vue made it here safely… barely!
Tomorrow is going to be quite crazy. Up at 5:00am -> Go to class and give my first speech, sit through another class to make up for the one I’m missing on Friday -> Go home -> Go straight to the airport to catch a plane to Phoenix -> ???
Right now I’m just trying to make sure I got the speech down right and I’m also trying to get prepared for possibly another grueling race to get to as many stores in AZ as I can and try and fix everything I missed last time I was there!
Ji is “sharing” his toy with his Papa right now. He holds it for a few seconds and then passes it to Ben who takes it and says, “Thank you.” Then, “Do you want it back?” and Ji excitedly holds out his arm with fingers outsretched and takes the rattle. This process repeats and the game doesn’t seem to get old to it’s players or it’s spectator (Mom).
It didn’t stick on the ground but we did have a little snow last night! Not fair at all I say. I had to wait 21 years before I was living somewhere where I could see the snow fall out the window; Johnathan only had to wait 7 months!
I haven’t had a chance to post that Ji started crawling a couple days ago! Just a little bit though. I think he doesn’t realize he’s doing it. He still gets so upset and does “the swim” wiggling his arms and legs frantically when he could just pull his knees up get what he wants. Soon enough!
