Wedding Album

We decided today to take our old wedding album and get it into our photo gallery. It’s not using the same templating system as before but the pictures are all there just the same.

Bye Artisans-Fair

It really is too bad to have to let this project go for now but I don’t really have a choice. :( There just isn’t enough time in the day to do school and be with family to work on it. I’m keeping all of the work I did so far (quite a lot actually!) and hopefully I can continue to work on it locally. Someday soon I can try it again.

Our artisans-fair.org email will probably be gone within a few days. Please email us via the address on our contact page.

*** edit *** Scratch that… we will keep the email running for the time being. It’s dirt cheap to have the mail service going and just cancel the web hosting.

Rip Van Winks Not

Usually when I pray I do so that God’s will be done, not my own. I didn’t create the universe, or know what the master plan is, What if he doesn’t want me to get that promotion for whatever reason? You get the picture. But tonight I passionately shouted in my head, “please let that kid sleep!”

Gmail

For anyone that is interested I have several more Gmail invites. For those of you who don’t know what it is check out the About Gmail page.

It’s still a closed beta but I have a feeling that Google will be around for a while. 1GB free of email space is nice… and their online mail system is the best I’ve ever seen before. Email us if you’re interested.

Ceckas.org

Following suite with the Broduer family I decided it was high time to just break down and register a domain. It’s still a wierd situation with masking/forwarding because the server is being run by yours truly… but in the long run it only makes sense. As soon as I can get a firm understanding of setting up my local DNS properly I’ll be in good shape.

Cute

This is what happens when the rubber ducky escapes your grasp…

Who doesn’t like the cute-baby-butt-shot?

Good Book

I got a great new book last week titled the Linux Administration Handbook. It covers everything that I need to know to truly host my own domain here in the office. I’m not going to do it anytime soon until I really understand whats going on.

How does ceckas.org sound? I would probably then turn a subdomain into our personal journal and then have the main site for general information about the entire Cecka family. Maybe even a family tree? I would also then like to offer email forwarding to everyone that wants it. Just some ideas.
